In the midst of life’s difficulties, it is easy to feel alone. Sometimes, you simply need someone to listen—to truly hear you—but it can feel as though no one is there. There was a time in my own life when I needed help, but it was not available. I found myself facing circumstances beyond my control, and that experience inspired me to become the kind of support I once needed for someone else.
My background in medicine, psychiatry, and social work gives me a unique perspective on mental health. I bring together clinical knowledge with compassion, empathy, and a whole-person approach to care. I am passionate about being someone who will listen, support you, and walk alongside you through life’s most difficult moments.
My experience includes working with individuals from diverse backgrounds who are navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship challenges. During my psychiatric training, I worked with women and adolescents experiencing complex emotional and psychological challenges. These experiences have strengthened my understanding of the many factors that can influence a person’s emotional well-being and the importance of seeing each individual as a whole person.
Because every person is unique, I tailor therapy to each client’s needs, integrating evidence-based approaches such as Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, strengths-based practice, and Gottman Method principles for couples.
I am proud to be trilingual, speaking English, Kurdish, and Arabic. My experiences living and working across different cultures have taught me the importance of providing respectful, culturally responsive, and individualized care. I believe that understanding your cultural background, experiences, values, and perspective is an important part of providing meaningful support.
My goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you feel accepted exactly as you are. Together, we will build on your strengths, discover what works best for you, and develop practical tools to help you navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and hope.
Life can be difficult, but you don’t have to face it alone. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing, growth, and lasting change.
